April 9, 2009 San Rafael, CA. YouMed joins Open Health Tools. YouMed's application to join Open Health Tools (OHT) Foundation was approved by the board of OHT unanimously. OHT is a non-profit organization for open source health care projects. YouMed shares OHT's vision that the quality of health care in the US and worldwide will improve by promoting standards that focus on interoperability and the use of best of breed information technology tools. YouMed is a Software as a Service (SaaS) provider to target Pay for Performance (P4P) incentives for its Independent Practice Association (IPA) clients.

Open Health Tools is a community of open source developers, health professionals, and an ecosystem that brings together members from the health and IT professions to create a common health interoperability framework, exemplary tools and reference applications to support health information interoperability. http://www.openhealthtools.org.
